YTL AI Labs is the AI research and development unit of YTL Power International Berhad. It builds Malaysia’s sovereign AI — the Ilmu family — trained and hosted on the secure YTL AI Cloud for data residency and Malay-first localisation.
Founded to give Malaysian developers and businesses state-of-the-art, culturally attuned models — developed with Universiti Malaya, YTL AI Labs focuses on Bahasa Melayu and local dialects, public services and enterprise use. Its models are already integrated by organisations such as Farben, J&C Pacific and Swipey; Ilmuchat is in public beta.
